Partners, Funders and Trustees
The principal partners in the Striding Arches project are Cairnhead Community Forest Trust, Andy Goldsworthy, Forestry Commission Scotland and Dumfries & Galloway Arts Association, together with design consultants Solway Heritage and advisers Scottish Natural Heritage. Many individuals have also contributed to the success of the project.
Striding Arches has been funded by: The Scottish Arts Council, Scottish Natural Heritage, Solway Heritage, Leader+, Community Regeneration Fund, Entrust Landfill Tax Credit, The Robertson Trust, Dumfries & Galloway Council and the Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
The Trust is composed of sixteen Trustees. Currently, three are appointed from local elective bodies: the local Member of the Scottish Parliament, one representative from Glencairn Community Council and one representative from the local church, representing all faiths. Thirteen are appointed for their interest and competence from the local community and the Crichton University Campus.
